PROJECTS

In the pictures above: Game Storm, officials developed game concepts for alternative approaches, in collaboration with Set-Up. Swarm Opera, 29 players improvise an opera. SUI, Stand Up Inspiration years of fresh show in Toomler. Children playing from Flourish Gaia project now called Flourish&Fly.

Below are a number of projects in which I am or was involved, and often even (co-) instigator.

Flourish & Fly

This is an experiment in self organized learning. Here we learn and grow together through immersive conversations about essential questions.

There are no teachers, no tests, no program, nor a goal. It's just us.

How can we help you shine in/for this world?

We currently have a small group of regulars. Open to all ages over 12 willing to put their own questions in the middle. And then we explore together in rich conversations.

Your Personal Revolt

This is a project focused on mental health care.

Can we get people with a 'Golden Box' out of their box?

For people who are heading towards burnout, are in danger of falling off the track and or no longer know what they really want.

Each box contains a number of artworks, each leading to a conversation/activity with someone who has a completely different perspective. We are not looking for 'help', but for honest meetings without having to do anything. You get to see how you might be bothering yourself, what else is possible and what might suit you much better. So that you can follow your own path refreshed and clear.

Discover what our cooperative can do for you, for yourself or for employees who are ready for an alternative trajectory.

Game Design

For me, games should have a clearly higher purpose. the main thing is that the game must give rise to real contact. We see each other less and less. Flourish Games want to do something about that. They invite real conversations, challenge you to creative and social behaviour. And they assume that you are an intelligent person who wants to think for yourself. That is why we do not shy away from the big questions of life, even if we treat them playfully.

In this philosophy game you play with 3 people, where one always asks a question and judges the answers of the other players. Do you sell the jury your answer as the most profoundly correct?

Spots, upgrade your reality

What if all the game energy people use online to save fantasy worlds was used to help the real world. Choose your own hero projects!

This project was born around 2010. In collaboration with Milo Grutta and others we are working on a phone app game.

In this game you work to improve the real world around you. Other players help and judge you.

The development is currently at a standstill between shore and ship. The developers want to see money first and an investor withdrew because they wanted to see a workable result first. If you want to help, let us know right away!

The Gentle Revolution

This is my blog. Here I post articles about our world, about personal growth, about education, game design, soft rebellion, play and more. Some pieces are very personal, others activating and still others provocative.

I personally learn to write better from it. Here is the model with which I improved the Maslow pyramid. I made it a circle. Because what is the top (self realization) for? To serve a better society. And what is a good society for? To keep our ecological system healthy, so that others can climb up out of the valley.

Exercises and Social Inventions

This is another blog full of explanations about my social inventions and exercises, such as the famous walnut exercise among Knowmads. This exercise is also part of many workouts, if it fits. This is where people discover their own answers. (Don't read if you ever want to do it yourself!) You will also find ideas for chess, a piano lesson method, in which you can learn to improvise freely on a piano within half an hour and the rules for the sport Switchball, the 21st century sport in which you have to optimize everyone's experience together.

Social Interactive Art

At festivals, in public spaces, conferences, social art can be used to put people on a different footing. Such as "The Counter for Life Questions" (premiered in 2001 on the 'Fairytale of Reality') where children answer the questions of adults. They are given a workshop beforehand (including 'don't come up with an answer until you understand the question').

It is fascinating how many adults expect far too little from children and how children grow when they feel that they are really listened to and that they have meaning.

Mystic Music Domino's

These are collections of global music videos that are put into a matching order. All based around a theme, and each video matching end to beginning of the next one, and or recurrent overlapping visual candy.

Some start with an introduction video, triggering ideas about it.

Here's the link to quite a few of them:
